2003

Land Purchased

Over 200 hectares ( over 500 acres) of land previously used by the Danish military was bought to develop The Scandinavian

2006

Golf Course Construction Started

Old Course and New Course designed by Bruce Charlton, President and Chief Design Officer at Robert Trent Jones II Golf Architects were built from 2006-2010

2006

Clubhouse Construction Commenced

Designed by famous Danish architect Henning Larsen, the centerpiece of the club began construction.

2008

Golf Course Construction Progresses

Using modern golf course construction techniques and high quality materials the courses are built. USGA specification greens, large scale irrigation and drainage system and a full sandcap ensure golfers will play on great surfaces for years to come.

2009

Clubhouse won the Tømrerprisen

The clubhouse, designed by Henning Larsen Architects, was awarded the coverted Tømrerprisen 2009 by the Copenhagen Carpenters Guild.

2010

Old Course Opening

In the autumn of 2010, after 8 years of planning and construction work the first golfers teed off on Old Course.

2011

New Course Opening

Just six months after the Old Course was inaugurated, the first players can tee off on the New Course.

2011

The Scandinavian golf club became a member of the DGU

On Februray the 1st 2011, The Scandinavian Golf Club was officially formed by the founding members.

2020

10 Year Anniversary

10 years after the first golfball is struck the golf club matures. A full active membership is reached and waiting lists are introduced to all categories.
