David Shepherd – CEO

David joined The Scandinavian in November 2016 following a successful 8 years in Portugal at the prestigious resort Monte Rei. Prior to moving to Portugal David was part of the senior leadership team at the 4-time Ryder Cup host venue The Belfry. David is a PGA professional and a fellow member of the British PGA and brings a wealth of knowledge and skills with him. As well as his PGA qualifications, David has a degree in Business Management from Lincoln University.

Signe Jørgensen – Sales & Business Development Manager

Signe joined The Scandinavian in November 2015 after six years as Sales Manager for a smaller hotel chain in Denmark. Over the past 20 years Signe has worked successfully with business development of companies within the Hotel and Golf industry and has brought strong commercial skills to The Scandinavian. Signe has a higher education in International Trade and worked professionally with Sales and Marketing for a number of years. Signe has been playing golf since she was 9 years old, is a former elite player and has a keen interest in professional golf.

Russell Anderson – Course Manager

Russell joined The Scandinavian as course manager in 2006, and was a huge part in the construction and grow in phases of both courses and has led the team since opening. The Scandinavian benefits from Russell’s skills and experiences acquired over a 32 year career in greenkeeping working at some of the world most renowned clubs and on over 14 European Tour events and a Ryder Cup. Russell originally from Ayrshire, Scotland moved to Wentworth in London and spent a successful period learning from the best greenkeepers in the business. After Wentworth, Russell was approached and moved to Celtic Manor in Wales where he was instrumental in building the courses including the 2010 course, host course of the Ryder Cup. Russell’s first course manager job was at Cardiff private members club and following a successful period moved to Denmark with his family.

Marianne Anderson – CFO

Marianne joined The Scandinavian as Finance Manager in March 2009 after seven years as Senior Finance Business Partner for a part of Lloyds Banking Group in Cardiff, Wales. Marianne has an honours degree in Business Economics and Finance from the University of the West of Scotland and is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant. Throughout her career, Marianne has worked as a Finance partner in commercial businesses, focusing on strategy, business development and financial planning.
