36 holes set in beautiful natural surroundings

Old Course and New Course, designed by Bruce Charlton, President and Chief Design Officer at Robert Trent Jones II Golf Architects The courses are constructed from 2006-2010

Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course Architects have masterfully preserved the natural beauty and wildlife across The Scandinavians’ 200-hectare forested grounds.

The design was developed with the goal that players should use every club in their bag during a round, and that there should be five sets of tees so golfers of all levels can enjoy the game.

The Scandinavian has been built using a carefully measured mix of soil, sand, and compost to create the ideal foundation for tees, greens, and fairways.

The greens, which are seeded with creeping bentgrass, are meticulously maintained with single-cut mowers to ensure consistent ball speed and the truest possible roll.

The courses are sandcapped and fully drained, and is still playable after a substantial amount of rain. What’s more, the water is recycled in the lakes and used to irrigate the course.

Old Course

The Old Course is a layout with immediate charm, where players can feel completely alone on almost every hole, even when all tee times are fully booked. The course features five sets of tees.

On the Old Course, accuracy is more important than length. All five Par 3 holes feature water hazards — a key element that emphasizes the importance of choosing the right club.

From the back tees, the 6,361-meter course offers additional challenges in the form of fast, undulating greens. The 18th hole is a demanding Par 5 with water, where precision on every shot is essential before players are guided back to the magnificent clubhouse.

New Course

The New Course challenges players with narrow fairways where precision and consistent focus on course management are essential. One of the course’s most strategic and accuracy-demanding holes is the 11th, laid out on what was once a rifle range.

Visually, the New Course appears narrower than the Old Course, with bunkers positioned strategically in true Trent Jones II fashion. The majestic 18th hole, a Par 5, tempts many golfers to cut the corner in an attempt to reach the green in two. Both courses are designed by RTJII in such a way that greed is punished — or richly rewarded.
